Del Webb Bexley Opening in 2019 in Tampa in the Latest Newland Master Planned Community

Tampa, Fla. --   Del Webb, one of the nation’s leading builders of active adult communities, continues its expansion into Florida’s Gulf Coast region with its first lifestyle-driven, 55+  community in North Tampa at Bexley, Newland’s newest master planned community located just off the Suncoast expressway in Land O’ Lakes.

Bexley is owned in a joint venture partnership between NORTH AMERICA SEKISUI HOUSE, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of SEKISUI HOUSE, LTD., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and Newland Real Estate Group, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of the community. Newland is well known in Tampa due to its highly successful FishHawk Ranch community. Bexley is one of more than 30 communities the NASH-Newland partnership owns together in 11 states across the U.S.

Del Webb Bexley will start construction in 2018 and will offer a gated community with 850 single-family detached homes spanning 489-acres, and an array of outstanding amenities.

The neighborhood will feature a 17,000 square-foot amenity center with a large social gathering area, game and cards room, fitness and aerobic area, lockers and showers, and a food and beverage operation designed to offer beer, wine and light snacks. A dedicated activities and lifestyle director will also be onsite to plan events exclusively for Del Webb Bexley residents. Most of the homes in the community will border on open space, water or natural preserve.

With nature as inspiration, Bexley features 1,200 acres of preserved open space areas and parks, tree-line streets. Located off State Road 54, just 20 miles from the hustle and bustle of Tampa, Bexley is a community that encourages people to get outside and connect with nature and each other through miles of scenic walking, jogging and biking trails.

“We are very excited about bringing a new Del Webb community to the greater Tampa area which has long been high on the interest list for those looking to live in a Del Webb community,” said Sean Strickler, president of the West Florida division of PulteGroup, which includes the Del Webb and Pulte Homes brands.  “Our three product series will offer consumer-inspired floor plans featuring beautiful architectural styles and low maintenance lawn care,” Strickler said.

“Del Webb has an outstanding reputation as a leader in active adult communities, and we’re pleased to partner with them in Bexley,” said Thomas Panaseny, Newland Communities’ Vice President, General Manager for Tampa North. “Bexley has already attracted interest from many Baby Boomers, and we’re thrilled to offer them a neighborhood of Del Webb’s quality, with homes and amenities designed with them in mind.”

Del Webb Bexley residents will also have access to the Bexley community’s Twisted Sprocket café and planned bike shop for repairs and rentals, as well as more than 10 miles of multi-use Avid™ Trails with a planned connection to the nearby 42-mile Suncoast Trail.

A myriad of shopping and entertainment options, plus several golf courses, are within a short commute of Bexley. Convenient access to job corridors in downtown Tampa and Westshore, and the Tampa International Airport will be a big selling point because a high percentage of Del Webb Bexley buyers will be working, active adults.  In addition, a 24-hour Florida Hospital emergency center is slated to open in 2018.

SavvySuite’s Interactive Software for Florida Bar Foundation
Touted at National Conference
Florida Pro Bono Matters Initiatives Serve as Model for Other States
ORLANDO, Fla.  – SavvySuite, a client of the UCF Business Incubation Program in the Central Florida Research Park, designed a system for the Florida Bar Foundation that recently received national attention.

Eli Mattern, co-founder and CEO of SavvySuite, a software solutions company serving the needs of the legal field, said the Florida Bar Foundation’s Director of Pro Bono Partnerships Ericka Garcia was a speaker at the 2017 Equal Justice Conference in Pittsburgh, co-sponsored by the American Bar Assn. and National Legal Aid & Defender Assn.  The presentation underscored that Florida is building a statewide, web-based network that efficiently connects more disadvantaged individuals with skilled legal services.

“We are thrilled that the Florida Bar Foundation is so pleased with our product and service that they want to spread the word about their success with our innovative system,” said Mattern.

The Florida Bar Foundation’s website, “Florida Pro Bono Matters” was launched in Miami-Dade as a pilot and now that it has been fully established there, including all of the county’s pro bono programs for civil legal aid, the Foundation has started the process to deploy the system statewide.

The user-friendly SavvySuite system uses cutting-edge technology to curate the cases so they can be displayed on any web site that wants to advertise pro bono opportunities making it easier to find a case and help a person with his or her legal issue,” Mattern explained, adding, “at the same time pro bono attorneys can choose cases effectively prioritizing their time and input in a way the legal aid system hasn’t been able to do.”
