DiVosta Homes’ IslandWalk at the West Villages in Venice Plans Second Resort Amenity Center

VENICE, Fla. -- As the demand for new homes in Southwest Florida steadily increases, so does the level of lifestyle and care-free social living offered at many of Southwest Florida’s top communities. That’s why DiVosta Homes is constructing a second resort amenity center at its IslandWalk at the West Villages community in Venice.
Situated off U.S. Highway 41 between Jacaranda Blvd. and River Road, the IslandWalk community’s second resort amenity center will boast an approximately 8,000 square foot clubhouse, community garden, resort-style pool with lap lanes, spa, and 8 pickleball courts, according to Richard McCormick, president of DiVosta Homes in Southwest Florida.
Elegant but casual, this tropical swimming pool
 at IslandWalk’s existing amenity center
preview’s what’s to come at the second
resort-style amenity center planned for the community.
“Residents at IslandWalk appreciate the active lifestyle this community offers, and enjoy the friendly culture that is centered around interacting and socializing with others,” he said. “There is always something to do here and the amenities are definitely utilized, especially with the increase in popularity of activities like pickleball and community gardening.” When complete in late 2019, the new amenity center – located southeast of the existing resort amenity campus – will bring the number of pickleball courts up to twelve, he added.

IslandWalk’s existing amenity center has two clubhouses, a tropical resort-style pool, separate lap pool, a lakeside gazebo, 8 tennis courts, 2 bocce ball courts, 4 pickleball courts, a half basketball court, children’s play areas and miles of walkways through pristine estuaries.  McCormick said the existing amenity center also includes a fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment for cardio and strength training; activity and craft rooms; a studio for Yoga and Zumba classes; and an elegant gathering room.

IslandWalk’s planned 2nd amenity center
With a busy full-time onsite Activities Director, McCormick said the community is home to many holiday and special events, as well as those for individuals, groups and clubs.

“The residents here really appreciate living in a community that offers so many amenities that encourage mingling and the building of community spirit and pride,” said McCormick. “This, along with the tremendous value and great weather, is why IslandWalk is our top selling community in Southwest Florida, with over 200 new residents calling it home in the past year.”

Priced starting from the low $200,000’s to $400,000’s, DiVosta Homes builds 15 distinct attached villa and single-family home designs at IslandWalk, with 2-5 bedrooms, 2-4.5 baths, and living areas that range from 1,372 to over 3,000 square feet.

Six professionally decorated attached villa and single-family model homes are available for touring daily – the Seagrove, Cascadia, Taft Street, Abbeyville, Martin Ray and Pinnacle – each featuring innovative kitchen designs, open gathering areas and beautiful design selections.

A seventh model home – the Summerwood – is well underway, nearing completion and expected be open to the public in early October.  It’s one of the homebuilder’s top-selling floor plans and will feature some of the Summerwood’s most popular design options.
