ORLANDO - Blackton, Inc., which ranks as Central Florida’s oldest and largest providers of roofing and flooring products for commercial and residential builders, was awarded a major contract to provide flooring materials and specialty flooring products at Marriott Lakeshore Reserve at Grande Lakes, a vacation club community under development near Walt Disney World in southwest Orlando.

Sean Monett, President of Blackton, Inc., said the firm will install over 12,000 square yards of carpet materials and 10,000 square feet of specialty flooring products.

Blackton, Inc. supplies roofing products to re-roof the Marriott at Heathrow Hotel

MAITLAND, Fla. --- Blackton, Inc., the Orlando based, family-owned firm that ranks as one of Central Florida’s largest suppliers of flooring and roofing products to builders, recently supplied roofing materials to re-roof the Marriott at Heathrow Hotel in Lake Mary.

Bruce Blackton, chief operating officer at Blackton, Inc., said S&S Roof Tile of Longwood is the roofing contractor for the project.

“With the slowdown in home building we have seen substantially fewer big orders for residential roofing and flooring products, but many commercial property owners and landlords are remodeling and improving their properties to better compete for tenants and customers, Blackton said.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Blackton Flooring, Inc., which ranks as one of Central Florida’s largest and oldest suppliers of roofing and flooring materials for the homebuilding industry, recently earned its accreditation once again as a National Housing Quality Certified Trade Contractor.

Sean Monett, president of Blackton Flooring, Inc., said the firm earned its re-certification after a rigorous audit by the NAHB Research Center.

To achieve NAHB QCT certification, contractors must develop, document, implement and maintain a quality management system that enables them to consistently meet code and regulatory requirements, builder specifications, and homeowner expectations.

“Accreditation as a Quality Certified Trade Contractor is one of the most important standards a major supplier can meet,” said Monett. “The audit is a rigorous process and we are delighted to have earned our recertification,” he said.
