MELBOURNE, Fla. --- Grubb & EllisCommercial Florida, with offices in Orlando, Tampa and Melbourne, has relocated its Melbourne headquarters from U.S. 1 to new suites at 2108 West New Haven Ave. (U.S. 192) in West Melbourne.

Jeff Sweeney, SIOR, president of Grubb & EllisCommercial Florida, said the firm has expanded its offices and expects to see an increase in commercial real estate activity in the Melbourne area.

“Commercial real estate activity follows the economy,” Sweeney said. “We’re seeing an increase in activity that can be attributed to economic recovery, but we’re also seeing activity related to the recession, such as distressed properties, tenants relocating and commercial property foreclosures,” he said.

Beazer Homes Renews Lease in Maitland Center for Florida Division Headquarters

MAITLAND, Fla. --- Beazer Homes has renewed its lease of the 14,713 square feet of Class A office space it occupies at 2600 Maitland Center Parkway. The Florida division headquarters office lease was renewed for five years and Craig Castor of Cresa Partners represented Beazer in the transaction. Emerson International is the landlord.

LONGWOOD, Fla. - Cotter Ryan Commercial, LLC, will start tenant improvements at a new 20,000 square foot office building at Savannah Park at Heathrow, located on International Parkway in Lake Mary.

Scott Ryan, president of Cotter Ryan Commercial, LLC, said the project is budgeted at more than $ 4.5 million.

Cotter Ryan Commercial built the building and will occupy 5,000 square feet of space for its corporate headquarters. The firm is expected to move in before then end of the year.

Cotter-Ryan Commercial to open First 20,000 Square Foot Office Building at Savannah Park at Heathrow in May

LONGWOOD, Fla. - Cotter-Ryan Commercial LLC in Longwood will open the first of two planned office buildings at Savannah Park at Heathrow in late May.

Scott Ryan, president of Cotter-Ryan Commercial LLC, said the 20,000 square foot building will provide new headquarters for Cotter-Ryan on the top floor.

Some 15,000 square feet of space in the new building will be available for lease.

Cotter-Ryan will start construction of a second 20,000 square foot office building at Savannah Park at Heathrow in August, Ryan said.
