ST. CLOUD, Fla. --- The UCF Business Incubator in St. Cloud will host a Discovery Tour Open House for entrepreneurs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, in the Corporate Campus building at Stevens Plantation, 3201 Budinger Ave. in St. Cloud.
Jim Bowie, site manager at the UCF Business Incubator in St. Cloud, said the Discovery Tour event is open to established business owners and potential entrepreneurs who are considering new business startups.
Bowie said a formal presentation of how the Incubator can help grow your business will begin at 5:20 p.m.
“The Discovery Tour is a brief overview of the services and facilities offered at the UCF Business Incubator to see whether a new business startup is the right fit for our program,” Bowie explained.
Bowie said recent studies show that 87 percent of entrepreneurs who launch their business startups in an incubator facility are still in business after five years.
“The UCF Business Incubator offers facilities, a network of community partners dedicated to the support of emerging enterprises and business coaching,” Bowie said. “Our goal is to help promising startup enterprises accelerate their growth and flourish,” Bowie said.

UCF, St. Cloud, Osceola County to Host Grand Opening April 28 for New Business Incubator
ST. CLOUD, Fla. - University of Central Florida, The City of St. Cloud and Osceola County officials will participate in the grand opening of the new UCF Business Incubator–St. Cloud facility at 3201 Budinger Ave. in St Cloud on April 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Gordon Hogan, director of operations for the UCF Business Incubation Program, said the new 14,000 square foot facility will launch an exciting new addition to economic development activity in Osceola County.
Four incubation client companies plan to locate offices in the new facility immediately, Hogan said, and the UCF Business Incubation Program expects to name a full time site manager within the next 30 days.
Eventually, the UCF Business Incubator-St. Cloud could accommodate as many as 20 client companies.
“We provide a wide range of services that accelerate the growth of promising young companies so they can play a greater role in economic expansion in the local area,” Hogan explained.
The UCF Business Incubation Program currently supports nearly 90 full-time client companies, Hogan said, and ranks as one of the premier university-based incubation programs in the U.S.

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program, which currently serves nearly 70 client companies at facilities in the Central Florida Research Park adjacent to the UCF campus, on East Colonial (S.R. 50) near downtown Orlando, in Winter Springs, Sanford, and Leesburg, has formed a joint partnership with the City of St. Cloud and Osceola County to develop a Business Incubator facility at Stevens Plantation in St. Cloud.
Dr. Tom O’Neal, executive director of the UCF Business Incubation Program, said a groundbreaking for the new St. Cloud Business Incubator is set for Thursday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. at West Nolte Rd. and Budinger Ave. in St. Cloud.
Successful business incubators have proved to be the most cost-effective strategy to generate local economic development, according to a recent national study.
Dr. O’Neal said the UCF/St. Cloud/Osceola County Business Incubator has leased 14,000 square feet of office space in the new facility, which will open during the first quarter of next year.
“Our goal in developing the UCF/St. Cloud/Osceola County Business Incubator is to empower new business and industry in the local area and to generate new jobs,” Dr. O’Neal said.

Dr. Tom O’Neal, executive director of the UCF Business Incubation Program, said a groundbreaking for the new St. Cloud Business Incubator is set for Thursday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. at West Nolte Rd. and Budinger Ave. in St. Cloud.
Successful business incubators have proved to be the most cost-effective strategy to generate local economic development, according to a recent national study.
Dr. O’Neal said the UCF/St. Cloud/Osceola County Business Incubator has leased 14,000 square feet of office space in the new facility, which will open during the first quarter of next year.
“Our goal in developing the UCF/St. Cloud/Osceola County Business Incubator is to empower new business and industry in the local area and to generate new jobs,” Dr. O’Neal said.

ORLANDO, Fla. - NAI Realvest has been named exclusive broker to sell commercial tracts adjacent to three residential developments in Winter Garden, Kissimmee and St. Cloud.
Paul P. Partyka, managing partner of NAI Realvest, is the principal broker for the development sites which include:

UCF Business Incubation Program to Expand to Leesburg, St. Cloud
ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program, which currently serves more than 70 full-time clients in five Central Florida facilities, plans to expand to include programs in Leesburg and St. Cloud.
Dr. Tom O’Neal, associate vice president for the University’s Department of Research & Commercialization and executive director of the UCF Business Incubation Program, said he expects to open operations in St. Cloud and Leesburg by next spring.
Currently, the UCF Business Incubation Program operates two facilities near the University of Central Florida campus in Research Park, and three more – on Orange Ave. in downtown Orlando, in east Orlando on East Colonial and in Winter Springs at S.R. 434 and the 417.
“Effective incubation programs have proved to be the most cost efficient ways to stimulate local economic growth,” O’Neal explained.
