ORMOND BEACH - The U.S. Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) recently honored Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club Director of Tennis David Brown as “pro of the year” for the Daytona Beach District.
Rosemary Messina, vice president of sales and marketing at ICI Homes, which is developing Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club, said Brown joined Plantation Bay in February, 2009
Brown has played an active role in professional tennis and local community organizations, Messina said.
Among Brown’s credits are:
•He ranks as a USPTA Master Professional;
•He served as tournament director for “USPTA Champion of Champions Tournament,” which raised more than $40,000 for United Way Charities;
•He served as president of “Greater Volusia Tennis Network,” the local Community Tennis Association that stages events for Junior Team Tennis, Volusia Middle School tennis, and the new Florida High School Athletic Association Junior Varsity team tennis program in Volusia County;
•He serves as program director for the Florida Tennis Center Foundation whose mission is to deliver a free after school tennis program to third, fourth and fifth graders.
•He played in the 2009 Father/Son Florida State Champion with USPTA member son, Aaron and won the championship.

Lennar Reports Sales of Eight Terrace Condominiums in One Week at Heritage Bay in Naples
NAPLES, Fla. - Lennar reports it recently sold eight Terrace Condominiums in one week at Heritage Bay, located on Immokalee Rd. east of I-75 in Naples.
Matt Devereaux, director of sales for Lennar’s Southwest Florida division, said all eight sales were in Building 15, which won’t open until November.
Only nine Terrace Condominiums at Heritage Bay remain for sale in Building 15 priced from the mid-$100s.
Three Terrace Condominium floor plans are available, with two and three bedrooms and two baths, Devereaux said.
New home buyers at Terrace Condominiums at Heritage Bay receive free membership in the 27-hole Heritage Bay championship golf course, which includes country club and tennis memberships and privileges at the Heritage Bay spa and fitness center.
The spectacular Heritage Bay community center with its two-story clubhouse also features fine and casual dining, resort-style swimming pool with a poolside “Chickee Bar,” seven lighted Har-Tru tennis courts with stadium seating, Devereaux said.
“We have created a resort-style community at Heritage Bay at spectacular pricing and value,” Devereaux said.

Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in Ormond Beach Appoints Dave Brown Tennis Director
ORLANDO, Fla. - ICI Homes has appointed Dave Brown tennis director at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in Ormond Beach.
Rosemary Messina, vice president of ICI Homes, said Brown is a USPTA Master Professional with 25 years of experience managing tennis facilities at resorts, commercial and private clubs, major colleges and municipal tennis centers.
He formerly served as Director of Tennis for the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach. Brown was high school and college standout tennis player who graduated from St. Mary’s College of California. He has held USPTA national rankings in both singles and doubles.
As a tennis teaching professional, Dave served as head coach for Colorado State University’s men’s team, and he has coached numerous sectional and nationally ranked players over the past 20 years in Colorado and Florida.
From 1998-2002 he served as USTA Florida’s Community Coordinator for South Florida.
