Ashton Woods Homes to open Five Ready-To-Move-In Homes Before June 30 at McCormick Woods in Ocoee

ORLANDO - Ashton Woods Homes will open five new ready-to-move-in homes before June 30 at McCormick Woods, located on W. McCormick Woods Road off S.R. 429 in Ocoee.

Orlando Sanford International Airport Awards Contract to Start Construction of 53,351 Square Foot Avocet Hangar Facility

SANFORD - Orlando Sanford International Airport has awarded a contract to Spolski Construction Company of Sanford start construction of a 53,351 square foot hangar, office and maintenance facility at 2551 Hellcat Lane at Orlando Sanford International Airport for Avocet Capital, LLC.

Diane Crews, vice president of administration at Orlando Sanford International Airport, said the facility will include 44,000 square feet of hangar space, 4,000 square feet of maintenance shops and 5,351 square feet of office space.

Construction is expected to start in late spring, Crews said.

Avocet currently leases more than 36,000 square feet of space at Orlando Sanford International Airport for commercial aircraft repair and demolition, and will relocate to the new facility when it opens early next year.

Meritage Homes Acquires 35 Home Sites at Rock Springs Ridge in Apopka, Plans New Golf Course Homes Priced From the $190s

ORLANDO - Meritage Homes has acquired 35 home sites at Rock Springs Ridge, a golf course community located off Park Avenue in Apopka.

Brian Kittle, Director of Sales for Meritage Homes in the Orlando region, said most of the home sites have views of Rock Springs Ridge golf course.

Kittle said new single-family homes at Rock Springs Ridge will range from 2,187 square feet of living space to 5,111 square feet with three to eight bedrooms. New homes at Rock Springs Ridge will be priced from the $190s, Kittle said.

Meritage has started construction of a four-bedroom model home with 3,635 square feet of living space and a three-car garage priced from $249,990.

UCF to host a National Business Incubation Association Conference May 16-19 at Buena Vista Palace

ORLANDO - The University of Central Florida will host the 2010 National Business Incubation Association conference May 16-19 at the Buena Vista Palace in the Walt Disney World Village.

FORT MYERS - Lennar’s Southwest Florida Division has appointed two new home consultants at Riverhall Country Club a master planned golf community off Palm Beach Blvd. in Alva.

Matt Devereaux, director of sales for Lennar’s Southwest Florida Division, said Jeff Dew was hired as a new home consultant at Riverhall. Dew has more than eight years of experience in real estate. North Dakota Golf Instructor Finds Plenty of Time to Practice as Stirling Sotheby's International Realty Associate

ORLANDO – North Dakota professional golf instructor Erin Wanner longed to move to Florida where she could ply her profession in Florida’s year-round sunshine.

Now the first female instructor to join the staff at Isleworth Country Club is leveraging her skills at Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty’s World Marketing Center in downtown Orlando.

Wanner said she spent two years practicing and playing golf on almost every golf course in Central Florida. She hones her skills by putting around the office.

Emerson International developer of Eagle Creek in Southeast Orlando sees 18 new Homes sold in a few weeks

ORLANDO - Emerson International, which is developing the 1300-acre Eagle Creek golf course community near Lake Nona in southeast Orlando, reported sales of 18 luxury homes at Eagle Creek in the weeks following a recent grand opening.

Centerline Homes, the new luxury home builder at Eagle Creek, got an average sale price of $345,000, said Eric Emerson, vice president and general manager of Emerson International.

Eagle Creek, located off Narcoossee Rd. two miles south of the 417, is owned by Emerson International, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Emerson Group, the global corporation that is one of the largest privately-owned property development companies in the U.K.
