East Orlando Sun enters Partnership with Observer Newspapers in Winter Park, Maitland and Seminole County
ORLANDO, Fla. - The East Orlando Sun, a monthly newspaper that has covered local news, events, schools and neighborhoods in the East Orlando region since 1995, has entered a publication and distribution partnership with the Observer Newspapers, which publishes in Winter Park, Maitland and Seminole County.
Beat Kähli, publisher of the East Orlando Sun, said the newspaper has a loyal subscriber base and enjoys free distribution at more than 200 business locations in East Orlando.
Two years ago, the East Orlando Sun launched a pioneering online effort at http://www.eosun.com/ that substantially increased its readership.
Kyle Taylor, publisher of the Observer Newspapers, will oversee publication of the East Orlando Sun, Kähli said.
“East Orlando Sun will continue to focus on East Orlando local news and events, schools and neighborhoods,” Kähli said. “We have a strong and dedicated staff of award-winning reporters and editors and our readers look forward to their contributions.
Kähli said he plans to continue to contribute “Coffee with Beat,” a popular monthly commentary on topics that range from growth issues to gardening to good citizenship.
“We will gain a smoother production schedule, stronger advertising services, wider distribution and better news coverage,” Kähli said. “We look forward to this partnership and we are delighted to be a part of it,” he said.
