Celebration Golf Management, Integrity Golf Company, The First Tee of Central Florida Ink Long-term Partnership to bring more Youth Golf Programs to Central Florida

CELEBRATION, Fla. / WINTER PARK, Fla. – Integrity Golf Company, LLC and its affiliate Celebration Golf Management, LLC, which collectively operate 18 golf courses in Central Florida, have signed an exclusive agreement with The First Tee of Central Florida to serve as the golf course provider for The First Tee’s programming beginning June 1. Kenny Nairn, chief operating officer at Celebration Golf Management, said that in addition to Integrity-managed Hunter's Creek Golf Club where the program has been underway since late 2012, the roll-out of The First Tee’s Life Skills Experience Program for youngsters ages 7 to 17 under the new contract will begin at the following Integrity and Celebration golf courses on the following timelines: • Summer 2014: Metro West Golf Club (Southwest Orlando) • Fall 2014: Stoneybrook West Golf Club (Winter Garden) • Winter 2015: Mayfair Golf Club (Sanford) • Winter 2015: Kissimmee Golf Club (Kissimmee) • Spring 2015: Kings Ridge Golf Club (Clermont) • Fall 2015: Eagle Creek Golf Club (Lake Nona area) The First Tee of Central Florida is a youth development organization that uses golf as a tool to teach young people positive values inherent in the game such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence. “We must have outstanding community partners to really make a lasting impression on the lives of area youth, which is why we’re thrilled to join with Celebration Golf Management and Integrity Golf Company to exponentially increase the reach and impact of The First Tee’s programming throughout Central Florida,” said Thomas Lawrence, executive director of The First Tee of Central Florida. “This partnership enables us to expand into new areas—Lake, Osceola and Seminole Counties—and that’s going to make a huge difference in the lives of children who will not only learn the game of golf but life lessons along the way.” For more information about The First Tee’s mission, programs and partnerships, visit www.thefirstteecfl.org.

BLACKTON INC. CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY

ORLANDO, Fla. – Blackton Inc. is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. The roofing and flooring company supplies homebuilders from Jacksonville to Tampa. Michael “Micky” Blackton, said his father Charles launched the roofing and flooring supply company the first week of May in 1954 in a warehouse next to the train tracks on Alden Rd. near Ivanhoe antique row. They’re still there. Blackton started with a staff of four: Arthur Johnson, warehouseman, Gus Robertson, office manager, Vivian Mims sales associate, and Charles Blackton himself was both a salesman and truck driver for his company. Upon opening Blackton Inc. was a distributor for Owens-Corning shingles, metal roofing sheets and gutter systems. Then items consisting of all varieties of roofing and flooring were added gradually over the years. Blackton Sr.’s three sons worked for him during the summers on the trucks, in the warehouse and in the office. Now Micky and his brother Bruce Blackton head the company. He’s worked at the company everyday since he was a teenager and he loves it. “We’ve had some slow times thanks to the economy but we consolidated and survived,” Blackton said. Sales this year are up more than 60 percent over last year, Blackton added. The company currently employs 58.

Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty Closes on Sale of $1.5 Million Isleworth Mansion after 182 Days on the Market

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty recently closed on the $1.5 million sale of a golf course home at 5055 Latrobe Drive in Windermere’s exclusive Isleworth community. Roger Soderstrom, founder and owner of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty, said International Luxury Home Specialist Benjamin Hillman listed the property and negotiated its sale with more than six potential buyers. Soderstrom said the home was on the market for just 182 days. Over the past 12 months luxury homes at Isleworth have averaged 475 days on the market before sale. “Benjamin Hillman took full advantage of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty’s marketing network to find a buyer and close on the sale in record time,” Soderstrom said. Rial Jones built the 5,309 square foot luxury custom home in 1999 on the sixth fairway of the Isleworth Golf Course. The original asking price was $2.1 million.
