Allogy Interactive Smart Phone Application Endorsed by the White House Feeds Federal Register Updates

ORLANDO, Fla. --- A smart phone application developed at the University of Central Florida to make it easier to access the Federal Register---the U.S. government’s newspaper of record---is making waves all across the country.

Orlando-based Allogy Interactive is developed the app in partnership with IST’s METIL lab and MobileGov, a D.C. based consulting firm. Design of the app was guided by technology officers from the White House and the Government Printing Office.

Colin Forward, Communications Director for Allogy Interactive, said the Federal Register app was developed to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Government Printing Office, which issues the Federal Register daily---in printed form---to announce rules, proposed rules, and notices of the Federal Government.

“Allogy wanted to create an app to demonstrate rapid development and deployment of new mobile applications,” Forward said. “The idea for an app for the Federal Register grew from concept to working model in less than six weeks,” he said.

The app leverages public information feeds provided by data.gov.

The U.S. Government spends approximately $16 million annually to print and distribute the Federal Register---costs that could be greatly reduced or eliminated if the app is widely utilized.

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty has been named exclusive sales and marketing agents for an historic 5.15 acre high intensity development site in Winter Garden that includes an historic mansion.

The site, located at 1305 E. Plant St. in Winter Garden, includes the Britt Mansion, an elegant residence built in 1929, along with two additional free standing buildings.

The home and buildings---a combined 7,256 square feet of commercial space---have been used as professional offices.

The property is located on the corner of Plant Street and East Crown Point Road a quarter mile west of the S.R. 429 interchange, said Roger Soderstrom, founder and owner of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty.

“This highly visible site sits on the main thoroughfare or “gateway” into downtown Winter Garden from the Central Florida Toll-way,” Soderstrom said. “Surrounding properties on both sides are positioned for commercial development, and Plant St. was recently improved, including utilities,” he said.

“We will be marketing the property to developers and investors using a number of development scenarios encompassing the site’s 224,000 square feet which is served by an off site storm water retention pond,” Arnold explained.

“A professional commercial office space user seeking a Winter Garden location would find that the historic residence will also offer interesting and unique opportunities for current use, future expansion and proprietary participation in the growth and development of the property,” he added.
