Hendricks & Partners Negotiates Sale of Mallards of Brandywine Apartments in DeLand for $7.75 Million

DeLand, Fla. --- Hendricks & Partners, one of the nation’s largest and most active multi-family investment banking and research companies, recently negotiated the sale of the Mallards of Brandywine, a 168-unit apartment property located in DeLand, for $7.75 million.

Cole Whitaker, partner and director of the Southeast Division of Hendricks & Partners and associate partner Hal Warren in Orlando negotiated the sale representing the seller, CFLP Mallards, LLC.

The Mallards of Brandywine built in 1985 and renovated in 2006 has a total of 136,600 square feet of rentable living space with one and two bedroom apartments.

The buyer was a private investment group.

Michael Shuman keynote speaker at Annual Fla. Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Entrepreneur Michael H. Shuman will be the keynote speaker at the 4th Annual Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference Saturday, July 28.

His most famous book, The Small Mart Revolution: How Local Businesses Are Beating the Global Competition (Berrett-Koehler, 2006), received a bronze prize from the Independent Publishers Association for best business book of 2006.

Shuman helped co-found BALLE, which represents 22,000 local businesses in North America in 80 communities, and is now a Fellow there.

At Cutting Edge Capital, a consulting firm that helps communities and businesses solve finance challenges, he manages its economic development initiatives.

Park Square Homes Appoints Robin Aldridge Construction Superintendent

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Park Square Homes, which builds new single family and town homes priced from the mid-$100s in seven Orlando area residential and resort communities, has appointed Robin Aldridge construction superintendent.

Vishaal Gupta, president and chief operating officer at Park Square Homes, said Aldridge has more than 20 years of experience as a home builder, including 14 years at Park Square Homes.

Aldridge, who attended the University of Central Florida, is rejoining the Park Square Homes team, Gupta said.
