Shoes, Socks,Toys Collected for Homeless School Children

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES – More than 750 homeless Volusia County school students will receive new shoes this holiday season, thanks to a Christmas party at which partygoers came bearing children’s footwear. A spokeswoman for FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools accepted the cache of shoes – along with 50 pairs of socks and 40 toys – earlier this week from the law office of Rue & Ziffra. “FUTURES Foundation greatly appreciates the generosity of Rue & Ziffra and their guests in donating more than 750 pairs of new shoes to Volusia County Schools’ homeless students,” FUTURES Executive Director Cynthia Perrick Ramirez said Friday. Ramirez said the generous donation helps the foundation assist Pam Woods, the Volusia County Schools homeless liaison, with the work she does with homeless students. Woods, who is daily contact with social workers and counselors at each of the district’s 70 public schools, said they now can help meet some of the most basic needs for local homeless children. “Community partners such as the FUTURES Foundation and business partners like Rue & Ziffra play a significant role in supporting these at-risk students’ success in school,” she said. “I was thrilled to see so many shoes and toys for the homeless children of Volusia County Schools under the Christmas tree. It was a wonderful sight, especially during this time of year when kids need these items more than ever,” said Allan Ziffra. About Rue & Ziffra: Founded by John D. Rue and Allan L. VGlobalTech makes it Easy for Housing Communities to Comply with New Florida Law

ORLANDO, Fla. – VGlobalTech – an Orlando-based software development, web design, online branding, and social media optimization company – is offering cost-effective website solutions to community development districts to help them comply with a law passed earlier this year by the Florida Senate that makes it mandatory for CDDs to maintain separate Internet websites. The amendment requires that beginning Oct. 1, 2015 [or by the end of the first full fiscal year of its existence] all housing communities, whether raw building lots, developments under construction or developed communities must launch a website with the details of Florida Statute 189.069. The staff at VGlobalTech has become very familiar with the statute by educating themselves on the law’s particulars to ensure compliance, according to Chief Executive Officer, VB Joshi. “To help CDDs maintain compliance, VGlobalTech is offering three different pricing options for website packages that meet these guidelines,” Joshi said. “Beyond just being compliant with the law, we’ll develop a website for them that benefits the community via pertinent information about meetings, financial data, newsletters, announcements, and development-oriented events.” To date, VGlobalTech has secured agreements with leading CDD management companies in Orlando (references available on request) and is working with others to select the best website packages. These new websites also will give residents access to information immediately, cutting previous CDD costs for printing and mailing, as well as administrative activities. VGlobalTech has setup a portal to educate CDD Management companies on the website requirements. A full presentation explaining the law, the particulars of the website and the pricing options as per the CDD requirement is also available on the VGlobalTech CDD portal.
