Founder of Mydea Technologies in Orlando invited to Lead National Academy of Engineers Session at Google Headquarters

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Michael Siemer, founder and president of Mydea Technologies Corporation in Orlando, has been invited to lead a session at the National Academy of Engineers’ 2011 Frontiers of Engineering Symposium at Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., Sept. 19-21.

Siemer, an engineer and former Disney Imagineer, said he will co-lead a session on additive manufacturing/3D printing at the symposium.

“I am excited about this great opportunity,” Siemer said. “It’s a rare opportunity to be invited and an honor to lead a session on manufacturing,” Siemer added.

More than 300 engineers from across the county were nominated to participate in the NAE’s 2011 Frontiers of Engineering Symposium. Symposium directors narrowed the list to 85 of the most prominent engineers under 45 years of age who have performed exceptional engineering research and technical work in industry, academia and government.

The NAE’s annual Frontiers in Engineering Symposium brings together a select group of emerging engineering leaders to discuss pioneering technical work and leading edge research to facilitate collaboration, the transfer of technologies and networking, said NAE President Charles Vest.

The NAE’s 2011 Frontiers of Engineering Symposium will focus on additive manufacturing, engineering sustainable buildings, neuroprosthetics, and semantic processing, Siemer said.

MAITLAND, Fla. — NAI Realvest recently negotiated the purchase of a 9.52 acre development site at 5912 Kingspointe Parkway off Sand Lake Road in Orlando’s tourism corridor for $2,050,000.

Paul P. Partyka, principal and managing partner at NAI Realvest assisted by associate Tom Kelley CCIM negotiated the REO sale on behalf of the buyer Miami-based Brazilian investors MRV International.

The seller, First Southern Bank of Orlando was represented in the transaction by Matt Sullivan of Colliers International.

Celebration Golf Club Reopens after $500,000 Plus worth of upgrades ---- 15th Anniversary Celebration Set for October

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Celebration Golf Club near Walt Disney World completed a $500,000 plus project to upgrade greens and refurbish the 18-hole championship golf course.

Gene Garrote, president of Celebration Golf Management, Inc. said Celebration Golf Course recently reopened with an eye on a leading role in Florida Golf.

“We guarantee we’ll continue to raise the bar for being one of the nation’s premier golfing venues,” Garrote said.

Celebration Golf Club plans to celebrate its 15th anniversary in October, Garrote said.
