Chief Executive Officer of Epic Engineering Scores Big Hit on Professional Social Networking Site

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Prasad Chittaluru is well-known for his academic and professional achievements, and even better known for his role as chief executive officer of EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group (EPIC), the Orlando based information technology firm that recently earned a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research award from the National Science Foundation. As part of the research, EPIC is developing a location-based Infrastructure Intelligence System for small and medium water and wastewater utilities using the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model---one of the most promising new trends in efficient infrastructure systems management. Now Chittaluru has another accolade: he’s a world class generator of social networking “hits.” He hasn’t posted a million-views kitty video on YouTube, but for Chittaluru, his latest citation is way more relevant: Chittaluru’s professional profile at the 200 million-member LinkedIn® social network ranks among the top five percent of profiles viewed in 2012. He’s not planning to visit the Oprah show anytime soon, but in the staid world of Infrastructure Intelligence Systems and Software as a Service models, Chittaluru definitely ranks as an emerging super star. “Success in my field is based solely on innovative solutions and the results that generate for our clients,” Chittaluru said. “However, a certain amount of notoriety means it is more likely we might be asked to offer potential solutions, and that is big news for us,” he said. EPIC is a client company of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program in the Central Florida Research Park in East Orange County.
