ALTAMONTE SPRINGS - Emerson International reports it has leased half of the luxury apartment units it opened in February at Emerson Plaza Towers II overlooking the scenic beauty of Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.

Mattamy Homes, Adina Construction Come Through For Allen D. Nease High School in St. Johns County, Donates Materials for New Sidewalk
JACKSONVILLE - When Allen D. Nease High School officials learned they needed a new sidewalk for their athletic program and lacked the funds to build it, they turned to the Jacksonville division of Mattamy Homes U.S. Group, the U.S. arm of Canada’s largest home builder.
Mattamy Homes is known for its civic and community work and ranks as one Jacksonville-area home builder whose sales have been strong enough to support a little charity.
Jerry Dean, vice president of construction at Mattamy Homes in Jacksonville, immediately telephoned Adina Construction, Inc., the St. Augustine concrete contractor that provides foundations, driveways, sidewalks and hardscapes in many Mattamy communities in the region.
The result? Together, Mattamy Homes and Adina Construction pooled the concrete and labor to build the sidewalk. Allen D. Nease High School officials and athletes are very grateful that Mattamy Homes and Adina Construction were able to step up to help out the school.
“We aren’t expecting a marching band or even a school cheer,” Dean joked. “We were happy to do our little part for our community,” he said.
