New Design Studio Underway at Bellagio Custom Homes’ Corporate Office in Palm Coast

PALM COAST – A new 2,000-square-foot design studio is under construction at Bellagio Custom Homes’ corporate office at 185 Cypress Point Parkway in Palm Coast. Central Florida Cyclist sets record at Florida Start Time Trials Championship in OLustee, Cyclist sponsored by First Green Bank

Mount Dora, Fla. --- Steven Perezluha, the 21-year old Central Florida cycling phenomenon sponsored by First Green Bank in Mount Dora, won the Florida Road Cycling Association’s Florida State Time Trial Championship in Olustee after turning in the fastest time of day and setting a new record for cyclists under the age of 23. Perezluha, who raced his bicycle from Oceanside, Calif. 3,000 miles across America to Annapolis, Md. in the grueling 12-day Race Across America last summer, finished the 24.8-mile Florida State Time Trial course in 52:09, beating his previous record by 1:04. Kenneth LaRoe, chairman of First Green Bank and an avid cycling enthusiast, said Perezluha trains for his races on country roads all over Lake County. “Lake County offers such a great resource for cyclists training and competing at the highest level and it’s just as valuable for casual weekend riders,” LaRoe said. Perezluha is a member of First Green Bank's Endurance Athletic Team.

Emerson International Negotiates New Long-Term Lease Agreement at Major Plaza in Southwest Orlando

University Club of Orlando to host second annual Toys for Tyler Drive in December

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The University Club of Orlando will kick off its Second Annual Toys for Tyler drive at the club’s annual membership Christmas party Dec. 8. Justin Wright, general manager of the University Club of Orlando, said Tyler Youtz is an 11-year old cancer survivor. Last year members of the University Club of Orlando donated more than 500 toys during its Toys for Tyler drive for distribution to ailing youngsters throughout Central Florida area hospitals.

ICI Homes Plays Starring Role in Goodall Family Home Project to Aid Father of Five Who Has Lou Gehrig’s Disease

Jacksonville, Fla. --- ICI Homes played a starring role in the Builders Care project by the Northeast Florida Builders Association to expand the family home of Jacksonville resident Kenny Goodall, his expectant wife and their five children. Don Wilford, president of ICI Homes in Northeast Florida, said The Florida Theater in Jacksonville will premier Building a Difference, a documentary produced about the building project, with a special screening on Nov. 17. When Wilford heard Kenny Goodall’s story---the strapping six-footer had to put off buying a new home for his growing family when he learned he has ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease---Wilford joined with the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s Builders Care volunteers to give the Goodall Home a total redo, adding more bedroom space and living space. The project, which took five weeks, resulted in a home that is large enough for the whole Goodall family, Wilford said, and it brought the home builder community together once again. “We wanted to give Kenny some ‘peace of mind,’ but none of us were aware how deeply this project would affect all of us,” Wilford said.
