ST. CLOUD, Fla. --- cinematiKa, Inc., headquartered in St. Cloud at the University of Central Florida Business Incubator, has launched a bid to fund development of a revolutionary new iPad entertainment application at Kickstarter.com, the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects.
Now through Dec. 23, thousands of Kickstarter.com subscribers worldwide will decide whether to finance the next phase of cinematiKa’s unique entertainment technology that merges three major storytelling platforms – book, movie and video game – into a compelling multi-level production that engages viewers as active participants.
Ricardo Bernardini, founder and creative director of cinematiKa, said his project, Angal Tentara, has been 10 years in the making so far at a cost of more than $150,000.
Bernardini created a brief documentary to pitch his project to potential investors.
“Our new technology expands storytelling possibilities to draw the reader in, ignite the imagination, awaken the senses, and inspire the emotions with a magical interactive historical adventure,” Bernardini said.
The story of Angal Tentara explores the adventures of a girl who is the sole survivor of an ancient civilization. cinematiKa’s revolutionary storytelling technique invites the viewer to interact with the story in real time.
“When you interact you become a part of the story, more than an observer of events,” Bernardini said. “And you are more likely to want to share your experiences with your social network.”
Funding for the next stage of development is critical, but Bernardini feels confident that Kickstarter.com subscribers will consider his request.
“Now is the pins and needles time, but Angal Tantara is such a unique approach to the entertainment media, with so much potential, that it will attract its share of investors,” Bernardini said.
