Cuhaci & Peterson Architects named to design renovation of Publix Supermarket and adjacent retail shop space in Naples

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects LLC, based in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, was recently awarded a contract to design the renovation of a Publix supermarket and adjacent retail shop space at U.S. 41 and Golden Gate Parkway in Naples.

Lonnie Peterson, chairman at Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, said the new Publix will offer 55,000 square feet of grocery store space, an increase from the current 47,000 square feet. The renovation project will give the shopping center a new look with neutral colors and stone and tile work.

The Publix retail center is being developed by Centro Properties Group.

Emerson International Reports it Closed on New and Renewal Leases that Total 15,787 Square Feet of Space

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. --- Emerson International reported it recently closed on four office leases that total 15,787 square feet of space in three of its Orlando area office developments.

Sean Westcott, director of leasing and property management for Emerson International, negotiated all four leases on behalf of the landlord, Emerson International.

Two of the agreements are for new long term leases.

Belmont Management, Inc. leased 895 square feet of office space at Louisiana Office Park on Louisiana Ave. in Winter Park. PHXX-E Inc. leased 1,786 square feet of office space in Sanlando Center located at 2180 W. SR 434 in Longwood.

Westcott also negotiated two lease renewals at Sanlando Center totaling 13,104 square feet of office space.

Freedom Mortgage Co. renewed its lease of 11,004 square feet of office space. William Bywater of Bywater Companies participated in the lease agreement representing the tenant.

Xerox Corp. renewed its lease of 2,100 square feet of office space. Jones Lang LaSalle America participated in the transaction representing the tenant.

Mattamy Homes Plans April Opening for Marley Park Energy Star Neighborhood in Surprise

TEMPE, Ariz. --- Mattamy Homes plans to open its newest Energy Star® neighborhood in April 2012 at Marley Park, located east of Reems Road, just south of Waddell Rd. northwest of Phoenix in Surprise.

Carolyn Morrison, vice president of operations for Mattamy Homes in Arizona, said 50 new single-family homes are planned at Marley Park that range in size from 2,000 square feet of living space to 3,500 square feet with two and three-car garages. The community boasts tree-lined streets, a swimming pool, Discovery Park a children’s playground, and organized resident events.

Morrison said five new designs will be available in one-story and two-story plans that feature lofts, dens and flex spaces, priced from $180,000, with Energy Star® Version 3 appliances and engineering.

“This will be our third neighborhood where we build homes with the Energy Star requirements. The new designs and home features are projected to save homebuyers as much as $400-$600 per month on their energy bills,” Morrison said.
