Data Transfer Solutions Wins Contract to Map Culturally Significant Sites in Utah

ORLANDO, Fla. - Data Transfer Solutions, LLC, the Downtown Avalon Park-based firm that provides GIS (Geographic Information Systems) transportation planning, asset management, web design, database applications, and video and multimedia production services to local governments, regional and state agencies throughout the U.S., recently won a $700,000 contract to map culturally significant sites in Utah for its division of State History.

The work is being performed by the DTS Agile division in Ft. Collins. Dave Bouwman, chief technical officer, said the firm has deployed ESRI web-based mapping software to assist the efforts of Utah’s Division of State History to inventory historical and culturally important sites throughout the state.

The Ft. Collins Agile team will deliver functioning software every two weeks while providing the client with unprecedented access and involvement in the development process.

Global Network Solutions Unveils New Name---GLOBAL-ENC

ORLANDO, Fla. - Global Network Solutions, Inc., the 13-year-old Florida based firm that manages corporate IT services and specializes in the healthcare industry, has changed its calling card. The new company name is GLOBAL-ENC, Enterprise Network Consulting.

Bruce Mizell, president and chief executive officer of GLOBAL-ENC said the new brand better reflects what the company offers.

“Our client base is growing and we are expanding throughout the U.S.,” Mizell explained. “We need a new brand to better align our corporate image with our corporate practice and target markets,” he said.

The firm, which is a HIPAA Certified Professional Company, provides managed IT services and security solutions using Best-of-Breed security tools to protect primarily healthcare networks.

“Our security tools are flexible and scalable; we can analyze an entire domain or a single machine. We provide remediation actions and offer reports ranging from high-level management to detailed reports used by network administrators,” Mizell said.

ORLANDO Fla. - Data Transfer Solutions, LLC, the Orlando-based firm that provides GIS (Geographic Information Systems) transportation planning, asset management, web design, database applications, and video and multimedia production services to local governments and regional and state agencies throughout the U.S., recently was assigned two task work orders from the Florida Department of Transportation District Six.

A.M. “Trey” Fragala III, AICP, chief operating officer at Data Transfer Solutions, said one task consists of mapping for the District’s Work Program that includes two counties, eight municipalities and 13 commission districts.

The other task involves supporting applications DTS previously developed including the ARRA Tracker, a tool designed to assist the District track projects being completed by local governments using Federal Stimulus money. DTS will also support and extend the Gaming Tool it designed to prioritize the District’s projects and allocate funding for the upcoming fiscal year.
