Technology Assurance Labs LLC Launches Tank Monitoring Tool for $10 Billion U.S. Propane Gas Industry

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Technology Assurance Labs LLC in Orlando has launched a low-cost, wide-area tank monitoring device that promises significant efficiencies for the nation’s $10 billion propane gas industry. Ken Stauffer, Co-Founder at Technology Assurance Labs, said the device---dubbed OWL, for Overhead Wireless Logic System--- automatically logs the volume of fuel in the tank and transmits the information to the dealer. The radio sensor is economical enough to be worthwhile for smaller residential propane tanks. It pays for itself in a couple of saved truck rolls. “With OWL, dealers can schedule deliveries in real time, when fuel is actually needed,” Stauffer said. Traditionally, dealers schedule routine deliveries based on historic usage. If usage suddenly increases, the customer’s tank may run dry, shutting down the customer’s operation. If usage decreases, the provider wastes time and fuel with an unnecessary delivery attempt. Garry Lovelace, Vice President of Lovelace Gas Service said “I’ve deployed OWL on propane tanks at both my commercial and residential accounts. Tank monitoring is great, but OWL has taken tank monitoring to the next level with its GIS tank mapping and graphical capabilities.” Tank data is stored in the cloud and presented in the office or in the field through a web-based SaaS portal on computers, tablets, or phones. It can also be integrated into popular back office systems such as ADDS, Blue Cow and K&K. As Garry Lovelace says, “I can now offer a “virtual gas metering service”. My customers enjoy not having to pay for a full tank of gas, and I enjoy being able to fill the tank when we’re on that route. OWL provides a more even cash flow for both my customers and me, and allows me to maintain monthly contact with my customers. It is also a great sales tool to gain new customers.” “OWL is a win-win-win solution for dealers, customers, and the economy,” Stauffer said. “All three entities will realize savings,” he said. Technology Assurance Labs is a graduate of and an anchor tenant in the UCF Business Incubator in the Central Florida Research Park in east Orange County.

Orlando Technology Team Launches Property Site

ORLANDO, Fla.-- Orlando’s Roman Petra, his partners and a team of marketing, business, law and technology professionals have joined forces to launch onplist.com, which stands for On Property List. Onplist.com was primarily designed to build a bridge in the marketplace. Petra said the site is designed to link people, professionals and property together in a new and efficient way. One unique variable in the production of onplist.com is the diversity of backgrounds among the founders, each of who brings incredible depth fostered by his or her education and experiences. Petra said the broader market for the site includes property listings. Currently, the listing site allows: (1) for sale by owner (FSBO) and (2) listings by agents. Listings are free, and the team hopes that this feature will incentivize users to promote and advertise their listings. “We don’t expect to compete with the MLS,” Petra said. “We have studied the market and the segment we are appealing to is underserved and almost unobserved,” he continued. Onplist.com welcomes all property listings, which includes real estate and personal property, Petra said. So, whether you are looking to buy or sell, you can find or list your home, car, boat or golf clubs on the site. onplist.com aims to address every user’s diverse property needs on one site, he added. The site is not only about listings, Petra said. Showcase is one of onplist.com’s core products. “Showcase allows property and/or work product to be seen by the community and promotes commerce. Showcase fosters and promotes community awareness, from showcasing property (e.g. artwork, vintage cars, homes, etc.) to trade-works,” Petra explained. Showcase offers architects, landscapers, craft builders, etc. an archive site to display all their works and products. A ratings system is an antiquated and limited way of getting noticed. “People should be allowed to view and comprehend a professional’s work and archive it for future use. For consumers who want to pick and choose the best, or find specialty products and designs that match their tastes, Showcase is the place to look,” said Petra. Petra cautioned that some features available are in Beta form. Certain aspects of the website are prototypes and are being tested by a limited group of users. The prototype applications are products that should bring noteworthy changes to the marketplace. “We will be adding features to the site as we hear feedback from users,” said Petra. “We have launched with a regional approach, but that will dissolve quickly as our market awareness increases,” he said. The company benefits from numerous intellectual properties, including patents, copyrights and trademarks to protect its proprietary technology. With a unique niche market and one-of-a-kind technology, onplist.com aims to become a powerful player in property industry, Petra said.

Only 12 Home Sites Remain for Sale at the Pulte Homes Community of Bonvida

TAMPA, Fla. --- Only 12 home sites remain for sale at Bonvida in Valrico, where Pulte Homes has seen quick sales since the community of single-family homes opened in September 2012 off Hwy 60 at Valrico and Landside Roads. Sean Strickler, vice president of sales for PulteGroup in North Florida, said Bonvida has had sales of more than 50 new homes over the past 13 months. Del Webb Orlando Sells 300th Home

ORLANDO, Fla. – Little did Mike and Edith Senderak know when they decided to buy a new home at Del Webb Orlando that their purchase would come with a “celebrity” status. But, when they recently signed a contract to buy a 1,929-square-foot Vernon Hill home design, they learned that they purchased the 300th home in the growing community southwest of Orlando. The Senderaks, who currently live in Collegeville, PA, checked out more than a dozen communities before buying in Orlando, Mike said. “We went from Arizona to Delaware to Florida before deciding that the spacious and open floor plan of the home, and the uncluttered streetscapes and resort-style feel of the amenities at Del Webb Orlando fit our needs nicely,” he said. And, the community’s proximity to shopping and attractions cinched the deal. The couple – Mike, a Chicago native who works as a computer programmer after a career as a private-practice psychologist, and Edith, a biostatistician who was born in the Philippines met in graduate school at Virginia Tech. Since then, their careers have taken them to Connecticut, Kentucky, Ohio and finally to Pennsylvania. Their home is expected to be completed in early 2014, but with a son in medical school and a daughter in the 7th grade, it will be a few years until the couple officially moves in but believed now is the right time to buy. “We’re looking forward to a variety of amenities there, including exercise classes, tennis, the pool, fitness center and the walking track once we move into the community.”
