Ryland Homes opens Tupelo Forest in Mount Pleasant

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Ryland Homes has started construction of new single family homes priced from the $240s at Tupelo Forest, located on Hwy. 17 north of Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant. Gayle Jinks, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes’ Charleston-Myrtle Beach division, said Ryland plans to build 58 new three and four bedroom homes in the first phase of Tupelo Forest priced from the $240s. Eventually, Ryland Homes plans to build up to 114 new homes at Tupelo Forest. Jinks said new homes at Tupelo Forest range in size from the three-bedroom, two-bath Sumter II model with 1,554 square feet of living area to the 3,621 square foot Whitmire II model with four bedrooms, three full baths and a half bath. All new homes at Tupelo Forest come with a two-car garage. Ryland currently builds single family homes in seven communities throughout the Charleston-Myrtle Beach region.
