Cuhaci & Peterson Architects wins Silver Spoon award for “Canned Diner” Exhibit at Orlando Fashion Square


ORLANDO, Fla. --- Cuhaci & Peterson Architects LLC based in Baldwin Park, captured the Silver Spoon Award for its “Canned Diner” at Canstruction Orlando 2009, a special exhibit held recently at Orlando Fashion Square.

The flashy retro-style diner designed and constructed by Cuhaci & Peterson staff entirely from cans of donated foods was a star attraction at the exhibit to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Lonnie Peterson, chairman of Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, said teams of community volunteers constructed an entire city from donated food packages, featuring a fire station, museum, zoo and other commercial and residential buildings.

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects enlisted the support of several sponsors including John C. Jennings III and Martha C.
