EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group to Provide Advanced Data Analysis System Services to South Florida Water Management District

ORLANDO --- EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group, LLC, recently won a major contract to provide advanced data analysis system (ADAS) implementation services to the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). EPIC is a member of the KISTERS North America team that was selected for this project.

“We are developing components to integrate the South Florida Water Management District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and other key District data sources with KISTERS’ data analysis software,” Chittaluru explained.

The ADAS will be a new component of the overall Water Management System envisioned by SFWMD to provide real-time and historical hydro-meteorological data and data processing and evaluation tools to the District’s SCADA& Hydro Data Management Department. The data will as also be centrally accessible for the District’s various departments, cooperating agencies, and the public. The ADAS will address the increasing demands for more real-time data, remove the inefficiencies associated with legacy systems, and support the projected expansion of environmental restoration projects.

Prasad Chittaluru, chief executive officer at EPIC Engineering & Consulting, LLC, said the firm is working with KISTERS North America, the U.S. division of the industry-leading German software provider that specializes in large-scale data management for water, air quality, and energy regulatory agencies.

The South Florida Water Management District manages and protects water resources that serve more than 7.5 million residents in the South Florida region, and serves as the lead agency restoring America's Everglades.

“This effort is a critical one for the SFWMD's future and we are proud to play a key role in developing the District’s data management program,” said Chittaluru.

EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group is a client company of the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program located at Central Florida Research Park in southeast Orlando.
