ORLANDO, Fla. --- Prices for luxury vacation homes, second homes and retirement homes in Brevard County near Orlando are down 40-60 percent from the market peak, offering some of the best opportunities in a lifetime, says Kim Tillett, International Luxury Home Specialist with Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty.
Tillett said choice oceanfront and riverfront properties are selling for record low prices. The hottest segment of the market is in the $200-400,000 price range, she added.
Homeowners in Brevard enjoy easy access to golf, boating and beaches. There is also the close proximity to Orlando, theme parks and international airport. Brevard County offers the Port at Cape Canaveral which includes restaurants, shopping and cruise ships that depart throughout the week. Kennedy Space Center is only a short drive away. Homes in Brevard are currently priced among the lowest in the state, Tillett said.
“We are seeing the bottom of the market in Brevard County and the pricing on waterfront and oceanfront residential properties are among the lowest we have ever seen,” Tillett said.
