DAYTONA BEACH – The Port Orange-based law firm of Rue & Ziffra is helping sponsor this year’s Puttin’ On the Ritz Sails the French Riviera at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 at The Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach.
Highlights of the event – which benefits the North Coastal Division of the Children’s Home Society of Florida – include a champagne reception, and a dinner of gourmet French cuisine and wine followed by both silent and live auctions.
The personal-injury law firm has been a sponsor of the event for the past four years, according to Allan L. Ziffra, firm president.
“We’re very happy to be a sponsor of such an exciting event for the community and one that provides so much for so many children and youths throughout the state,” Ziffra said.
Last year the Children’s Home Society provided services and care to more than 125,000 children and families statewide, 1,200 of whom were in the North Coastal Division, according to Shirley Jeter, the division’s development director. Those services included foster care, group/residential homes, emergency shelter, independent and transitional living, mental health and counseling.
Tickets for the gala are $100 per person. For more information, contact Shirley Jeter at 386-304-7600, ext. 227 or Shirley.Jeter@chsfl.org.
