SeaGate Homes Applies for Permit for San Marcos Lakefront Spec Home in St. Augustine Beach’s Seagrove Community

ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH – SeaGate Homes has applied for a construction permit for The San Marcos, a roomy 3,100-square-foot, two-story spec home in the seaside community of Seagrove on Anastasia Island off of State Road A1A.

The floor plan – which was specially designed for the lakefront location – will have an open great room layout and a first-floor master bedroom, according to Michael Sawdai, SeaGate’s vice president of operations. Other features include granite countertops, ceramic tile, 42-inch kitchen cabinets, upgraded appliances, crown molding, walk-in closets and lots of storage space.

“The San Marcos will have three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, and a loft, as well as a den/home office/fourth bedroom, with all three bedrooms having their own bathroom,” Sawdai said. “But, one of its best features is its outdoor living space.”

Built on a lake, the San Marcos will offer great views from its three outdoor living areas: 10-by-16-foot porches on the front and off of the master suite, and a 10-by-28-foot veranda off of the voluminous great room, Sawdai said.

Priced at $389,000, the spacious home will be within walking distance to the beach and only five minutes to historic downtown St. Augustine. The Seagrove community has all the pleasures of coastal living with 1,700 acres of nature trails and bird sanctuary that make up Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area.

SeaGate also owns two other lots in Seagrove and has started construction of a four-bedroom, two-bath, 2,048-square-foot model called The Seaspray in the Seagrove community.
