ORLANDO, FLA. - GroundFlights, Inc., an Orlando-based executive transportation company, recently received the “Judges’ Choice Award,” the top prize at Orlando Inc.’s B.I.G. Summit, for its video and business model.
The B.I.G. Summit, Orlando Inc.’s premiere event for business innovation and growth, focused on regional entrepreneurship, according to Orlando Inc. President Leslie Hielema.
“The impact of the B.I.G. Award is measured not only by the recognition provided to the winner, but also by the benefits that will come from a prize package that includes training, consultation and regional exposure associated with complimentary advertising and membership in key entrepreneurial associations and programs,” she said.
Orlando Inc., a five-star chamber of commerce, is one of four divisions of the Central Florida Partnership. The judges for the summit – entrepreneurs who themselves are growing successful companies – selected GroundFlights as the best example of the ultimate customer experience.
GroundFlights’ video, which can be seen on the www.BigAward.org website, was filmed over the course of eight hours at the University of Central Florida Business Incubator-Orlando, where GroundFlights is headquartered. It was a collaboration by GroundFlights, Inc., producer Valensky Sylvain (www.DarkElfFilms.com) and Director James Hunter, President of 1st Dibz Productions. Jason Goldberg, co-founder and chief executive officer of GroundFlights said the competition for the award – for which the total value exceeds $30,000 – was tremendous.
“Being selected as the ‘Judges’ Choice’ was an honor in and of itself,” he said. “But now being able to partner with organizations like Orlando Inc. and the firms that are donating their time and expertise may be just the momentum we need to take our company to the next level.”
