Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty Names Qiping Shen International Marketing Expert and “China Connection”

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed Qiping Shen an International Marketing Expert based at the firm’s Heathrow marketing center.

Roger Soderstrom, founder and owner of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty, said Shen, who was born in China, emigrated to the U.S. in 1991 and holds a Master’s Degree in mathematics and electronic engineering. He will focus on international investments in Central Florida residential and commercial properties.

“We have seen a significant increase in real estate inquiries and investments from China and other parts of Asia and we see that as a major area of growth in 2012,” Soderstrom said.

“Qiping Shen has an extensive network of colleagues and business contacts in the Asian community in the U.S., Canada and overseas and we expect him to play a major role in our growth,” Soderstrom said.

Shen, who relocated to the Orlando area in 1997, was a mathematics instructor at Shandong University in China for 10 years before emigrating to the U.S., where his career as a software engineer led him to Orlando’s simulation industry.

Soderstrom said Shen will focus on marketing unique, luxury residential and commercial opportunities to Asian investors.
