First Green Bank is helping to build high tech $7,000 bicycle for Central Florida Cross Country Champion Steven Perezluha

MOUNT DORA, Fla. – First Green Bank of Mount Dora is helping to build a custom high tech bicycle for Central Florida cross-country champion Steve Perezluha.

Ken LaRoe, chairman and chief executive officer of First Green Bank, said the effort could help Perezluha win the U.S. Cycling Federation’s National championship race in Augusta, Ga. in June.

LaRoe said Perezluha’s new lightspeed bicycle was provided at a tremendous discount, and Smart Bike Parts, the online bicycle parts provider, offered many additional upgrades.

First Green Bank is sponsoring Perezluha’s equipment budget so the young cyclist can turn pro this year.

Last year First Green Bank helped raise funds to support Perezluha’s entry into the 30th annual Race Across America Marathon, (RAAM) the grueling 3,000 mile bicycle marathon that started in Oceanside Calif. and ended 12 days later in Annapolis, Md.

Steven Perezluha is a remarkable young man with a very promising future and First Green Bank is proud to help sponsor his monumental effort,” LaRoe said.
