Amelia National Completes Construction of $185,000 Wall, Introduces Portfolio of 21 New Luxury Home Designs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Amelia National Golf & Country Club recently completed construction of a permanent wall along the concourse on the community’s southern boundary.

David Haas, chief development officer at ICI Homes and Amelia National, said the cost of construction was $185,000.

The Concourse wall is just part of the flurry of activity underway at Amelia National. The club has hosted several local charitable events and tournaments in the last several months. “We like to show off the property whenever we can,” said Haas. “Over the last three years, more than $2 million has been spent on maintenance, carry costs and improvements for the Amelia National community. Our solid long-term commitment to the project is beginning to yield some promising results.”

For example, Haas recently brought in a nationally respected, independent golf course consultant to do a top-down review of the Tom Fazio designed course and club operation. “We were very pleased that they gave us an excellent rating for maintenance and operations.”

Keeping Amelia National in the spotlight and in tip-top shape is paying off. “Sales activity at Amelia National is up year over year and we anticipate an even better 2013,” said Rosemary Messina, vice president of sales and marketing. “We recently launched a Discovery Tour program to focus on out of state homebuyers and bring them in to familiarize them with the property, the homes, the magnificent golf course and clubhouse. With five tours booked in the last six weeks, interest is high and that bodes well for the future,” she said.

“The Discovery Tour program was also timed to take advantage of the recent launch of a new portfolio of luxury custom home designs at Amelia National,” said Don Wilford, ICI Homes division president, who is responsible for the design and construction for ICI Homes in the north Florida area.

The design portfolio includes 21 new floor plans that can be fully customized and range in size from 2,321 square feet of living space to 4,050 square feet with three, four, five and six bedrooms and priced from $289,900 to $800,000.

“Amelia National is in the perfect position to benefit from an improving economy with luxury custom home sales,” said Haas. “We’re debt-free, and that puts us in a unique position in the market.”
