Centex Grand Opening March 9 at Fisher’s Landing at Riverwood to Showcase New Three-Bedroom Vanderbilt Model Home

Port Charlotte, Fla. -- Centex will host a Grand Opening from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9, to showcase the new Vanderbilt model home at Fisher’s Landing at Riverwood, the master-planned community overlooking the Myakka River west of SR 776 in Port Charlotte. Scott Mairn, vice president of sales and marketing for the South Florida Division of Centex, said admission to the grand opening event is free and the public is invited to enjoy live music and refreshments. Mairn said the three-bedroom, two-bath Vanderbilt model home offers 1,911 square feet of living space with a den and a two-car garage priced from the $230s. Centex plans to build 70 single-family homes at Fisher’s Landing at Riverwood. New two, three and four-bedroom homes at Fisher’s Landing at Riverwood range in size from 1,557 square feet of living space to 3,193 square feet. Mairn said new homes at Fisher’s Landing at Riverwood are priced from $155,990 to $360,990. Altogether, Riverwood includes more than 1,300 home sites. The gated resort-style master planned community, which opened in 1992, is 95 percent completed, and features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gene Bates, a private beach club with bar and grille, heated junior Olympic sized swimming pool, spa, Tiki bar, six Har-Tru tennis courts, three bocce ball courts, two horseshoe pits, fitness center, golf pro shop, billiards, library, arts and crafts room, dance floor and performance stage, dog park, tot lot, walking and biking trails and onsite boat and RV storage.
