First Green Bank Chairman Ken LaRoe Named Finalist to win Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2013 Award
MOUNT DORA, Fla. – Kenneth E. LaRoe, chairman and chief executive officer of First Green Bank, headquartered in Mount Dora with branch offices in Clermont, Ormond Beach and Downtown Orlando, has been named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2013 Award in Florida.
Finalists were selected from nearly 80 nominations by a panel of independent judges according to Greg Rosica, Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year Florida program partner.
LaRoe, who holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, has been a banker since 1982.
LaRoe served as founder chairman and chief executive officer of Florida Choice Bank in Eustis until he sold the bank to Alabama National Bancorp in 2006.
LaRoe founded First Green Bank in 2009.
Rosica said the award program recognizes high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
The award will be presented in Miami on June 13.
