Kings Ridge Golf Club in Clermont to host Second Annual Fairways for Warriors Golf Tournament Sept. 14

CLERMONT, Fla. -- Kings Ridge Golf Club, located on U.S. 27 five miles south of S.R. 50 in Clermont, will host the Second Annual Fairways for Warriors Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14. Kenny Nairn, Scottish PGA professional and chief operating officer of Celebration Golf Management, said he expects more than 100 golfers to participate, including wounded U.S. military veterans. “Fairways for Warriors provides golf instruction, equipment and tee times to help disabled veterans overcome their challenges and this is a very popular tournament in Lake County,” Nairn said. The Fairways for Warriors team scramble tournament will tee off at 9 a.m. at Kings Ridge and each team will include at least one wounded warrior, Nairn said. Last year’s inaugural Fairways for Warriors Golf Tournament at King’s Ridge Golf Club drew more than 100 area golfers, Jay Scruggs, general manager at Kings Ridge, said.
