Florida Business Leader, Real Estate Executive to Speak at USF Real Estate Society

TAMPA – John Crossman, an Orlando businessman with a reputation as one of the most influential leaders in Florida on the subjects of real estate, leadership development, civil rights and social justice, will be the featured speaker Sept. 7 at a meeting of the University of South Florida’s Real Estate Society.

According to the Real Estate Society, membership and the meeting – which begins at 6 p.m. in room BSN 225 of the university’s Center for Real Estate Studies – offer networking opportunities with Florida real estate professionals to USF students in any major. The organization provides information about real estate-related careers and promotes real estate education and skills to help students excel in the industry. Visit https://www.usfrealestate.com/ for details.

The youngest alumnus to be inducted into the FSU College of Business Hall of Fame, Crossman is recognized nationally for his work on civil rights and makes regular appearances on TV and radio talk shows. He also is sought after to speak about his book, Career Killers/Career Builders: The Book Every Millennial Should Read. Each student attending the “Building Your Career” session will receive a copy of Crossman’s book, which focuses on building a career in today’s business world.

The noted speaker and author heads Crossman Career Builders, an organization that mentors and coaches college students and young professionals, and CrossMarc Services, which focuses on real estate investments and brokerage.

Some of his accolades include a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Central Florida Commercial Association of Realtors;  being appointed to the Advisory Council of the Peace and Justice Institute at Valencia College; moderating a virtual panel of experts in a webinar for landlords and tenants during the Covid-19 shutdown and, most recently, being selected as one of 10 Central Florida influential leaders as a 2021 Visionary for roundtable discussions with up-and-coming commercial real estate professionals.

Crossman’s companies provide scholarships at FSU, FAMU, B-CU and UCF that total approximately $500,000.
