ORLANDO, Fla. - Engineering & Computer Simulation, Inc. (ECS), the Orlando-based firm that develops simulation technology for corporate, academic and military training programs, was recently named to Inc. magazine’s list of “Top 500” fastest growing U.S. companies.
ECS, which reported $11.6 million in revenues last year, has deep roots in Central Florida and is an active participant in the Edward Lowe Foundation’s economic gardening initiative – the CEO Nexus/PeerSpectives™ program, according to Steve Quello, president of CEO Nexus.
A public-private initiative affiliated with the University of Central Florida Department of Research and Commercialization, CEO Nexus brings together local second-stage business leaders in a forum with successful mentoring CEOs of companies in the region.
“ECS’s achievement as one of this year’s Inc fastest growing is a genuine testimonial to economic gardening’s benefits, especially accelerating business growth cycles,” said Dr. Tom O’Neal, associate vice president of the UCF Department of Research and Commercialization.
ECS, located at The Quadrangle on University Blvd. and Alafaya Trail near the UCF Campus, is part of the simulation cluster that the UCF Business Incubation Program and CEO Nexus are helping to cultivate, Quello said.

EXIT Realty of Daytona will host Realtor Boot Camp with Real Estate Veteran Aug. 19-21
EXIT Realty of Daytona will host Realtor Boot Camp with Real Estate Veteran Aug. 19-21
DAYTONA BEACH – Alex Szinegh – a nationally-known, self-taught real estate guru – will present a Real Estate Boot Camp for Realtors next month in Daytona Beach.
The unique, three-day, hands-on training program will be presented Aug. 19-21 at the St. Demetrios banquet hall located at 129 N. Halifax Ave. in Daytona (32118), according to Aswin Suri, owner of EXIT Realty of Daytona, the innovative real estate firm hosting the event.
“This is the only one of this kind in North America,” Suri said of the riveting type of seminar that Szinegh – EXIT’s senior regional vice president – presents. “Agents have the oppurtunity to be trained as a top producer for less than $100 a day.”
Included will be instruction on interactive prospecting, handling objections, scripts, role playing and goal setting. Szinegh will help those attending lay a foundation to attain wealth in real estate, as well as their own attitude and lifestyle, Suri explained.
With English as his second language and a 10th grade education under his belt, Szinegh quickly grasped the art of selling real estate and has consistently received more than $500,000 annually in commissions during his 25-year career.
His personal accomplishments, according to Suri, include selling more than 2,100 homes in a 19-year period.
“He’s a fascinating and dynamic presenter and a brilliant entrepreneur who teaches others how to use his knowledge, skills and experience to master their own real estate careers,” Suri added.
Those interested in registering or receiving more details about the Aug. 19-21 session, are asked to contact Arlene Ferro at EXIT Realty of Daytona, 386-257-3948 or Arlene@EXITrealtyofdaytona.com.
