FLAGLER BEACH – The law firm of Rue & Ziffra is helping several Flagler County agencies put on the 2011 “Holiday at the Beach” event Dec. 2 and 3 in Flagler Beach.
Sponsored by the Flagler Beach Chamber of Commerce, the City of Flagler Beach, Rotary Club of Flagler Beach, and the Flagler Beach Historical Museum, the weekend event will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday night with a Veteran’s Memorial Park Christmas tree lighting and music in the park.
Included will be customer-appreciation offers and luminaries lining the downtown area, as well as photos with Santa at the Flagler Beach Commission Chambers, according to Kim Bouck, a partner in the Port Orange-based law firm.
“We’re very happy to be a presenting sponsor and excited that so many of our employees are participating in this annual event,” Bouck said.
On Saturday, Santa Claus will parachute onto the beach to signify the beginning of the “Flagler’s Got Talent,” holiday parade at 1 p.m. where several members of the firm will be riding atop fire truck, he said.
Other Saturday events will include the Fun Coast Bed Race, and parade viewing and judging in front of Veteran’s Park with trophies awarded. Children attending the festivities are invited to a party with Santa at the Flagler Beach Fire Department.
For details, contact Kim Carney, the chamber’s event chairman, at 386-846-5493.
