Celebration Golf Management to take over RedTail Golf Club in Lake County in January

CELEBRATION, Fla. – Celebration Golf Management, LLC, which owns and operates eight golf courses in Central Florida and two more in Tennessee and South Carolina, signed a long-term lease for RedTail Golf Club in Lake County on Jan. 1.

Gene Garrote, president of Celebration Golf Management, said the firm has leased RedTail Golf Club from Starwood Land Ventures, LLC with an option to acquire the course and facilities.

The 7,150 yard, par 72 Dave Harman-designed RedTail Golf Course is one of the most challenging and attractive links in Florida, winding through seasoned live oaks, ponds and a wide range of elevations, Garrote said.

“We have been looking at RedTail for many months now. It really is one of the most beautiful courses in the southeast,” Garrote said.

“Celebration Golf Management is a perfect fit for RedTail as they know how to manage private and semi-private clubs, and we are excited that they have decided to work with Starwood in completing this project,” said Mike Moser, chief executive officer at Starwood Land Ventures, LLC.

Celebration Golf Management now ranks as one of the largest golf course management companies in the U.S.

Over the past 12 months Celebration added Eagle Creek Golf Club in East Orlando and two golf courses at StoneGate Golf Club at Solivita in Kissimmee to its portfolio.

Garrote said more acquisitions are under consideration.

With the addition of RedTail Golf Club, Celebration Golf Club’s portfolio of golf clubs now include Celebration Golf Club in Celebration; The Golden Bear Club in Windermere; Kings Ridge Golf Club and Legends Golf Club in Clermont; Stoneybrook West Golf Club in Winter Garden; Eagle Creek Golf Club in East Orlando; Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita in Kissimmee; Crockett Ridge Golf Club in Kingsport, Tenn. and The International Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
