Legends Golf and Country Club in Clermont promotes former Big 10 player of the year Lee Williamson to head golf instructor

ORLANDO, Fla. --- The Legends Golf and Country Club, located off U.S. 27 south of SR 50 in Clermont has promoted former Big 10 player of the year Lee Williamson as head golf instructor.

Gene Garrote, president of Celebration Golf Management, who owns and operates the Legends Golf and Country Club, said Williamson lettered in golf and graduated from Purdue University, where he earned Big 10 Conference player of the year honors.

Williamson turned pro in 2002, Garrote said. He won the Indiana Open in 2004, the Toledo Open in 2005 and was Winnipeg Press Champion in 2005.
