PORT ORANGE, Fla. --- Reducing school impact fees in Volusia County helped pave the way for sales of luxury homes at the Villages of Royal Palm, in Port Orange worth more than $800,000 during the first two weeks of January, according to the luxury community’s developer.
Winston Schwartz, president of Winston-James Development, Inc., said the impact fee reduction was key to record sales of new homes in January at the Villages of Royal Palm.
“The county impact fee reduction was a major factor in our ability to reduce prices and negotiate a higher number of new home sales,” Schwartz said.
