Leisure Arts League at Del Webb Stone Creek in Ocala to host Workshops to Decorate Brassieres, to benefit ACS

OCALA, Fla. – The Leisure Arts League at Del Webb Stone Creek active adult community will host workshops in June, July, August and September to decorate brassieres.

Marion Pierleoni, president of Leisure Arts League at Del Webb Stone Creek, said decorating or creating “art bras” is an increasingly popular way to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer.

“The days of burning the bra may be long gone, but the days of decorating the bra are totally in,” Pierleoni said.

“All over the U.S. people are creating fantastic new designs that are true “art bras,” she said.

For Pierleoni and her Leisure Arts League colleagues, “Creative Cups for a Cause” is just the event to capture the growing trend at Del Webb Stone Creek.

All proceeds and bras from Creative Cups for a Cause will be donated to the American Cancer Society, Pierleoni said.

Cups for a Cause Workshops will be held in the Del Webb Stone Creek Crafts Room at the community clubhouse.

Workshops are scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13; Tuesday, July 17; Thursday, Aug. 16; and Monday, Sept. 17.

To sign up for the workshops or to donate to the cause, contact Marion Pierleoni at 904-237-7756.
