ORLANDO, Fla. – Residents of Del Webb Orlando, the resort-styled award-winning active adult community located on Ridgewood Lakes Blvd. in Davenport just south of Orlando in Polk County, plan to host a unique commemoration for Polk County firefighters.
“First Responders are our first defense against disaster,” said Eric Baker, lifestyle director at Del Webb Orlando.
Baker is organizing community residents who will cook and serve pancakes, sausages and orange juice to area firefighters from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 as a thank you to area first responders.
“We don’t often take the time to thank our first responders,” Baker said. “September 11th is the perfect day to take the time to give back and provide a community service to those who serve us.”
