Legends Golf Club in Clermont hosts Relay for Life Golf Tournament that raises more than $9,000

CLERMONT, Fla. --- Legends Golf Club in Clermont, a Celebration Golf Management facility, hosted the Fourth Annual Relay for Life Golf Tournament recently that raised more than $9,000 for research and awareness programs sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Jay Scruggs, general manager at The Legends and tournament organizer Jim Rhodes said they were delighted with the record turnout for the golf play and Rhodes has already booked Legends Golf Club for the Fifth Annual Relay for Life tournament Dec. 14, 2013. Rhodes said the weather was perfect, course was in excellent shape and the staff and management at Legends put on a thoroughly enjoyable tournament. “Best of all we raised more than $9,000 and we still have donations coming in,” Rhodes said. The 18-hole championship golf course at Legends Golf Club ranks as one of the best efforts of golf course designer Lloyd Clifton. The Clifton-Ezell-Clifton course stretches 6911 yards from the gold tees with a par 72, a Slope Rating of 131 and Course Rating of 73, said Scruggs. Visit www.cgmgolfproperties.com
