WINTER PARK, Fla. – Ride Green Scooters on West Fairbanks Ave. in Winter Park reports a big jump in sales of fuel-efficient scooters in September.
“As of Sept. 19, we sold as many scooters as we did during the entire month of August,” said principal Ron Schwartz,
Schwartz said back-to-school buyers accounted for many of the new sales throughout summer as sales figures continued to increase, and they continued to increase after Labor Day.
“For two thirds of the world’s population, fuel efficient scooters are the most economical way to commute to work and school, Schwartz said.
Some scooters Ride Green sells log as much as 90 miles on a single gallon of gasoline, and Ride Green’s electric scooters get the equivalent of more than 110 mpg.
Ride Green also sells larger scooters that can cruise safely and comfortably at 60 miles per hour and can be driven on Interstate highways.
“We always have more than 25 new scooters in our showroom, and special orders are filled in a couple of days,” Schwartz said.
