NEW SMYRNA BEACH – This year’s New Smyrna Beach Shrimp and Seafood Festival – scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday8/16 on Flagler Avenue – is being presented by the Port Orange-based law firm of Rue & Ziffra.
The 5th annual-event, which is sponsored by the Merchants of Flagler Avenue and a host of local sponsors, will include live musical groups and other family entertainment like a kids’ zone and community displays.
A highlight of the festival will be the “Best on the Beach” cooking competition, as well as a variety of shrimp and other seafood available to hungry patrons, according to Jessica Eckelbarger, marketing director for the personal-injury law firm.
“Our firm is always happy to sponsor this event as it showcases the delicious seafood dishes created by talented chefs right here in Volusia County,” she said.
