Orange County National Golf Center Shows off Faster, Smoother Greens on Crooked Cat Golf Course, and Newly Renovated Lodge

Winter Garden, Fla. --- Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge opened its Crooked Cat championship golf course with faster, smoother greens after a three-month renovation effort with the widely-acclaimed Champions Bermuda Ultra Dwarf Turf.

Tano Malentin, general manager at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge, said the renovated greens are worth the wait.

“Ultra Dwarf Bermuda turf is well known in golfing circles for incredible ball roll and quick speed,” Malentin said.

“We used the same turf on our Panther Lake golf course last year with amazing success. People still talk about the difference,” he said.

Malentin said Orange County National also recently completed major renovations of its Lodge including all new furniture and beddings as well as some interior design improvements.

The Lodge is an important amenity. Besides local golfers, Orange County National accommodates thousands of tourists annually who visit the resort-style golf retreat to improve their game or just to get away for a while.

“We now feature two of the finest championship golf courses in Florida, a nine-hole short course, a wide choice of onsite instruction schools and the largest driving range and practice facility in America, all at one location,” Malentin said.
