Veteran Logistics Executive, U.S. Army Commander Mark A. Ferris Joins Kissimmee based Luhse Tea’s Advisory Board

Kissimmee, Fla. -- Veteran logistics executive Mark A. Ferris has joined the Board of Advisors at Luhse Tea LLC, the Kissimmee-based retailer of fine imported teas and tea accessories that set out to demolish the stodgy stereotype normally associated with teas. Ferris, a retired U.S. Army commander, managed global distribution and supply chains, transportation operations, international and interagency logistics, and strategic logistics during his career. Brittney Wholihan, co-founder of Luhse Tea, said Ferris served as Director of Logistics in Saudi Arabia and as the Iraq Country Lead for one of the Department of Defense's largest and most critical acquisition programs. "With 26 years of experience in long-range logistical planning and distribution, Mr. Ferris brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Luhse Tea’s Board of Advisors,” Wholihan said. Ferris formerly served as the commander of a logistics battalion supporting U.S. and Collation operations in Afghanistan. “Mark Ferris will play a big role in our growth and the expansion of the Luhse Tea brand,” Wholihan added. Luhse Tea is a client member of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program’s Kissimmee incubator.
