Ryland Homes in Connerton among builders hosting Double Celebration for Grand Opening

Land O’Lakes, Fla. – Ryland Homes recently opened their brand new Frost II model in Connerton and two major events are planned to mark the opening of new model homes by all four builders who are participating in the build-out of the family-friendly master planned community on Savory Walk Drive off Connerton Blvd. in Land O’Lakes. Mike Finley, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes in the Tampa Bay region, said the first event, to be held May 16 from 4-8 p.m., is targeted towards real estate agents and those in the building industry. With a “Denim & Diamonds” theme, invitees are encouraged to dress in jeans and wear their bling as they board buses for a VIP tour of the models and the Club Connerton amenity center. Afterwards, there will be a buffet dinner and live music under a large tent with seating for 200. The second event is a party for the entire community and potential future homeowners called “Carnival Connerton” that’s planned for Saturday May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Buses will take guests on a tour of the models, followed by a tour of Club Connerton. A free “fun zone” sponsored by Verizon will be set up nearby with multiple bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, midway games, a corn toss and prize wheel, plus a video game station. Lunch will be served under a large tent, with menu options including barbecue pork sliders, burgers, hot dogs and mac-and-cheese, not to mention an array of fun snack foods such as popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones. Guests will receive goodie bags and will be eligible to win prizes if they visit each model. A grand prize of a $1,000 cash card will be awarded by random drawing. Connerton is a “New Home Town” community spread across approximately 4,800 acres just north of Tampa. Adjacent to the property is a 3,000 acre nature preserve that is home to hundreds of species of native birds and wildlife and offers beautiful trails for walking, jogging and biking. The centerpiece of Connerton is its outstanding amenity center, which includes a clubhouse, café, meeting rooms, catering kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness center, super pool, aquatic playground, children’s wading pool, a patio deck filled with lounge chairs and shaded areas, tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball, an amphitheater, and a Kids Zone.
