Hoverfly Technologies Earns 2013 Small Business Award from Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. --- Hoverfly Technologies, Inc., based in Winter Springs which designs and sells flight control systems for multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was recently honored with a 2013 Small Business Award from the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Al Ducharme, a founder of the company, said Hoverfly earned its 2013 Small business Award in the New Business category — Hoverfly was launched in 2012.
Ducharme is also an associate professor in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Central Florida.
Hoverfly flight control systems powered by HoverCore, a proprietary parallel processing data fusion algorithm that provides stable flight using low cost hardware is now enabling the innovative use of UAV’s in a variety of new applications in aerial photography film, security and hobby markets.
Hoverfly Technologies is a client company of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program located at the Seminole County/Winter Springs Incubator on E. State Road 434 in Winter Springs.
