Exam Plus Earns top Industry Award for fourth consecutive year

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. -- Exam Plus FL, which administers drug and alcohol testing programs for employers, sports, governmental and law enforcement agencies, recently won the industry’s top award for excellence. José Batista, president and chief executive officer of the Winter Springs-based company, said the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) recently presented Exam Plus FL its 2014 Award for Demonstrating Excellence in Collections. Batista said the DATIA Award is part of the association’s The Accredited Collection Facility Program, which measures professional standards in urine, hair, nails, sweat and/or blood collections facility operations and personnel. “Drug and alcohol testing facilities are required to meet strict standards in areas such as regulatory compliance, company services standards, specimen handling, operational practices, business ethics, and facility equipment to be accredited,” Batista said. Batista said Exam Plus FL has won the DATIA Excellence in Collections Award for the past four years. Exam Plus FL, a client company of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program located in Winter Springs, is a member of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association and the Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association.
