Local Personal-Injury Law Firm Names 8th Partner

PORT ORANGE – The Port Orange-based law firm of Rue, Ziffra & Caldwell recently named attorney Darren Coleman a partner in the 30-year-old firm. Coleman – who joined the firm in 2004 – concentrates on workman’s compensation and veteran’s disability claims, having obtained more than $30,000,000 for his clients during the past nine years. A native of Virginia Beach, Coleman used his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., to teach in several foreign countries, including Korea, and in Latvia [his mother’s homeland] where he helped start the country’s first charity for orphaned and abandoned children. Before joining Rue, Ziffra & Caldwell, Coleman also worked as an insurance adjuster and as an insurance defense attorney representing large insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims. He now puts that experience to use in representing injured workers, according to Allan L. Ziffra√, president of the firm. “Our clients benefit immensely from Darren’s knowledge and background in insurance defense,” Ziffra said. “And, the generosity and kindness he shows in his personal life are reflected in his professional life,” Ziffra added, referring to Coleman’s charitable work. A graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, Coleman is a member of the Florida Bar, the Florida Justice Association, the Volusia County Bar Association, Florida Workers’ Advocates, and the National Organization of Veteran’s Advocates. He is admitted to practice in all Florida courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is accredited by the Veteran’s Administration to represent veteran’s in disability claims..
